A Big Tribute to my Fellow Bloggers & Supporters, we’re all Making a big Difference & Change is Coming, Because of YOU!
By Marc Chamot
The Marc Chamot Report has prided itself for over 39 raving reviews, from fellow Internet bloggers and peers. It means so much to me, and I will render equal gratitude’s in this blog posting. When I started blogging around June 2007, I began as a San Francisco conservative blog, but it bored me to death, so I decided to go national.
Once in a while, I like to sit down and listen to conservative talk radio. In the San Francisco Bay Area, we’ve got the great KSFO. They carry the usual El Rushbo and Sean Hannity.
Even though I’ve been extremely critical of those two in the past, I’ve been very critical of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, I’ve lost some of my very right-leaning readers over it. It seems with these people they take it personally when someone criticizes these two, like “how you dare to criticize the kings of conservative radios?”
But to me, I don’t give a hoot. When you read most right-wingers blogs, they are always full of smart-alecky, smirky and anti-Democrat innuendos, rather than talking about issues and solutions, it’s all tit for tats with Democrats kinds of stuff, while failing to recognize their own Republican Party’s shortfalls and ills happening to our country. That’s the problem, rhetoric’s are not only coming from the Democrats far-left, and it’s also coming from Republicans far-right.
Since 2005 to 2007, around the time I began my blogs, I was an avid Hannity and Limbaugh listener, but with these two, it was Democratic Party bashings every day, while approving every thing that the Republicans were doing, including the very lame and former President George Bush, while our nation was descending into an economical and jobs Armageddon.
They were both too busy bashing Democrats, while ignoring their own party’s incompetence’s and shortfalls. Their avid supporters today will ignore these facts, they will never admit to it, and when other middle of the road conservatives bring it up, they lash back at you, just like left-wing liberals do. They don’t want anything to do with you.
That’s why the Marc Chamot Report is popular among the middle. Most of my avid readers are either just right or left of the middle, and they also represent the majority of Americans in political thinking, so the very loony far-left and the crazed far-right usually don’t have any tolerances for my blogs.
Which isn’t surprising, that’s why both, the Democratic and Republican Party, have been having massive exoduses of former Party members going Independent. Because of this, we’re winning the battle, while they are losing, just because they like to keep their heads dug in deep within the sand.
Soon after I began my blogs, not much after, maybe around the early part of 2008, I joined the Entrecard Networks. Entrecard.com was and still is awesome! Most of my traffic, and awesome fellow blogger friends, and links, all came from Entrecard.com. But as time have gone by, I’ve grown, gotten better, and more prolific on Google, now with Google searches, they are dwarfing my traffic I get from Entrecard, but Entrecard still gets them into my blogs without fail every day.
So going back to talk radio, I listened to conservative Mark Levin show yesterday. I’m not too fond of Mark Levin either, but he’s doable and pretty informative. Yesterday he was off; he had
Michael Berry out of Houston’s KTRH news radio sub for him.
I was very impressed with
Michael Berry; he talked about us, you and me,
Facebook and bloggers in general. His segment was about people getting engaged politically, and not leaving politics to politicians.
He mentioned that on mediabias.com, 80 percent of mainstreams media and journalists, all write and vote for the Democratic Party and their causes. What we’re doing now, is we’re leveling the playing field in public opinions on the Internet.
Michael Berry also mentioned that we are making a big difference in politics. It’s the first time I’ve ever heard someone admitting that bloggers are making a big difference in American policies, and blocking bad ones from ever passing, like the Obamacare fiascos. This is something I’ve been saying for the past two years, that we bloggers, are the new sheriffs in town, and policy makers over American politics. We are all getting engaged politically.
And Michael goes on to say, it doesn’t matter is you have 10 readers that read your blog periodically; this is ten more people that will listen to your ideas and opinions, and that’s very influential indeed. He also says the most effective blogs, are like
Michelle Malkin’s, they take news, opinions and spin it with common sense and FACTS, she can influence millions, she has the equal power of about four to five U.S. Representatives. Awesome!
It’s all about who’s more credible to the readers. So if you’re a political blogger like me, don’t give up just yet, you can be influential and help make changes happen.
And now for my grand finale! This is first ever on my blogs, a big salute to my fellow bloggers, those who have been outstanding great Americans, those who have been very supportive of me, my friends, blogs that I read on a regularly basis. In order they came to me:
I will begin by giving my blog honors to my best friend out of Arkansas, Jason Hall
at No Really, What Happened. I think he’s the only right-winger Republican who tolerates me. I can still remember the drawn out dog fights we’ve had about minimum wages and unions. He finally convinced me that unions were bad, but he never convinced me on minimum wages, which I support adamantly. He’s a great American and a true conservative!
Then I will mention my very longtime net buddy I met on zimbio.com over two years ago. He’s a great friend, and has a great opinionated blog at
patriotickle. “True Americans have compassion, family values, American values, integrity, unequalled intelligence, honor, and love of our Constitution (to the death if need be); oh yes...and...we work for our money. True Americans know life is not certain. True Americans know life has challenges and hardships, and that no other can make us "better", or "happier"; these are tasks left up to the "individual". True Americans know life is risk, and that no one can grant safety to an individual...except...the individual.”
This guy has always been there for me, and without him, I would have given up long ago. He’s a great American and a true conservative!
Then there is my good buddy Bobo, at the
Bobo Files “driving the left loonier-Welcome to The BoBo Files - a blog run by an evil conservative clown. Like any clown the discussions here can be serious, sarcastic, and occasionally a little witty. If you can't take the occasional heat, this is not the blog for you! Come back again, ya hear!" This guy has gone out of his way to help promote my blog. He’s got great stuff himself, like the Bobo’s Carnival of bloggers, and great informative news and opinions; he’s truly a great American blogger and a true conservative!
Then there’s this wonderful lady at
Lily’s Licorice, she’s been a tremendous supporter of my blogs. Even though her blog isn’t very political, she supports my voice avidly on the Net; she’s also a very blessed and a very wonderful lady. Please meet Kristie Glascock at Her
Facebook. She’s a truly wonderful American! Thank you!
And then there’s my very good friend
politicus. He’s definitely a little more left than I am, he’s not liberal, and he’s a very loyal and gifted blogger.
“We are reformed (real) conservatives. The Bush years have completely cured us of any desire to vote for any Republican, with the notable exception of Ron Paul. We will and do take the side of what we consider being right, but not right wing and will unabashedly write about and trash anybody, or anything that we consider to be corrupt, unpatriotic, evil, or even environmentally irresponsible. At the same time we will support with all our might causes and people dear to our heart. We will not shy from almost any issue and subject, from straight U.S. and World politics, elections, campaigns, to health and environmental issues, as related to our political environment. You can fully expect strong doses of political incorrectness here, all in the interest of preserving what’s left of our democracy. Visit us often and tell your friends about us.” Politicus used to be on Entrecard, and I miss him a whole lot. He’s got common sense and great postings, and bloggers like him make America move. He’s truly a great American too!
There is also this very wonderful couple at
askcherlock.com. They are also more to the left politically than I am. They do have great postings on politics; they are also very popular to both, liberals and conservatives. I miss them too, they were on Entrecard also. They are very wonderful people, and big supporters of my blogs. They are both, truly great American bloggers!
I saw Paul of
paulthepoliticalpundit on linkrefferals. He left me a couple of wonderful referrals, one on linkreferrals and the other on Entrecard. I found his blog to be truly amazing and I asked him to link up immediately. I truly enjoy his conservative blog, he’s a little to the right than I am, I’m very proud to have him as a friend. Paul is another great American conservative blogger!
And now, there is my other new found friend, Jonathan Lancaster at
taxtipsfordemocrats. He’s definitely a conservative like me;
“Do Democrats have to pay taxes at all? The Obama administration doesn’t seem to think so. I aim to track political elitist DemocRat tax cheats and spread the word as they continue to raise our taxes and steal the future of the next generation. Big debates are at hand, and what to do about massive tax increases and job losses. Feel free to voice your opinion. Feel free to laugh, too. Change comes faster amidst the chuckles. Now, about me, I am married, now living in the Midwest and the proud parent of an 8-year old Wolf Scout. Life is good, even though my job has evaporated and our home value has sunk. This is the new American Dream; just surviving the hard times is good enough. It also reminds me of what is really important: God, family and peace of mind. I was trained as a journalist and never had any particular reason to write while I was making a great living doing something else that did not require union membership. With some time on my hands I have found it exciting and worthwhile. I even have a suspicion that in some small way it can also matter. For those that need to know: I only play Guitar Hero 2 on the Medium setting. That’s just the way I roll. I appreciate comments, adore links and thoroughly enjoy meeting new people." Here’s another wonderful American blogger and a real conservative!
And now there’s my pal at
Freedomfromthepress. He’s got a fast popular growing blog. He’s got real awesome political topics, and he’s got me beat on some subject matters. I forgot how I discovered him, I think it was through Google researching on a topic, I was so impressed with his site, I immediately asked to link up, and he did! We’ve been blog buddies ever since, he’s another great American conservative blogger, and he’s very anti-media, just like me!
And then we’ve got a wonderful Christian pastor/blogger like
Faith and Facts. Dr. Bruce’s BIO
“Doing as well as hearing the Word of God occupies the center of my life. I am committed to my family, church, community and country. My politics will typically run toward the conservative in fiscal areas and toward the liberal in social issues, despite my strong pro-life stance. When others do not agree with me I am happy to engage in civil discourse that debates ideas and their merits but have no patience with those that substitute personal attacks for reason.People with double-standards are a pain in my rear. Shouldn’t we apply the same standards and logic to both sides of an issue? Shouldn’t we hold politicians in our own party to the same standard we hold those in the other party? Shouldn’t we criticize those we like when they err? I have been critical of church leaders and churches from both ends of the theological spectrum. I have blasted politicians on both sides of the aisle.I work with a variety of non-profit groups that focus on helping people; especially women and children. I have two favorites at the moment. The Belen Area Food Pantry feeds about 300 families per month. $9.87 feeds a family of 4 for about a week. It is the best investment $10 you will ever make. Casa de la Fe (website pending) is a missions group my daughter has started that focuses on Peru and Belize. We raise money to assist groups already in country as well as some direct action. Providing clean water, limited solar power and medical needs are the top items on the list right now. After planning on a career in law, I have been a pastor of Baptist churches for almost 30 years. I grew up Methodist and some church members have never forgiven me for it. Some folks from New Mexico have never forgiven me for being born in Texas either. I played basketball in college but three spinal surgeries have put an end to most sporting activities. My wonderful wife, Penny, is more than I ever deserve. And yes, the doctorate is earned. The Bible instructs believers to engage culture as salt and light. I look forward to the dialog in this forum to discuss just what that means.”Bloggers like Dr. Bruce help keep our Jewish-Christian traditions alive. He keeps our charities going, and help keep our American traditions and good name alive, world-wide.
